ADC (Apple Display Connector) is a now obsolete monitor connection that was used until 2005 on Apple branded displays and some third part ones.

It is a digital connection, so DVI (but not VGA) can be adapted to it. However ADC supplies both signal and power to the monitor, and ADC monitors do not have a separate power input. Therefore this DVI to ADC adapter includes a power supply, hence the high cost compared to other monitor adaptors.

Please note, this product will not work with CRT monitors, since these draw too much electrical power for the adapter.

If you need to run a DVI display on an ADC computer, you need to use the cheaper Formac ADC - DVI adapter.
