This is an internal 8x SuperDrive, which reads and writes both DVDs and CDs. It is compatible with Aluminium G4 PowerBooks (silver keyboard), G4 iBooks, G5 iMacs, Intel iMacs, the G4 Cube, both PowerPC and Intel Mac minis, and the 17" MacBook Pro (not the 15" or the MacBook). Our installation service is available for this part - simply find the relevant installation service in the CD/DVD drive upgrades section on the page dedicated to your Mac, and add it to your cart.

This is a new Apple service part.
