This is a 2GB module of DDR2-PC25300.

It is a SODIMM (Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module) memory chip, which is generally used in laptop computers.The RAM is DDR2 RAM. This is similar to standard DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM in that data is sent on both the rising and falling edge of each clock pulse. DDR2 RAM however has upgraded components which allow it to run at higher clock frequencies than standard DDR.

Compatibility

This product is compatible with the following Macs:

MacBook Pro 15.4": Not suitable for first revision MacBook Pros, or those released after October 2008. Compatible machines have a Core 2 Duo processor (not Core Duo) and the SuperDrive slot in the front (not right-hand side).
MacBook Pro 17": Not suitable for first revision MacBook Pros, or those released after January 2009. Compatible machines have a Core 2 Duo processor (not Core Duo) and the SuperDrive slot in the front (not right-hand side).
MacBook (White or Black): Suitable for MacBooks released after November 2007 and before May 2009. These MacBooks have a bus speed of 800MHz or 1066MHz, and the installed memory has a speed of 667MHz.
iMac (Intel): For pre 28th April 2008 Core 2 Duo models without integrated graphics cards only, not suitable for original Core Duo versions or Core 2 Duo 17in models using the Intel graphics chipset. Only the first Aluminium and Glass model can take 2 of these chips.
