This is a PCI-Express card, which is the expansion card used in Apple Workstations from the PowerMac G5 Dual-Core onwards. These cards are only compatible with PCI-Express enabled computers, and will not work in older PCI or PCI-X based systems.

The card adds RJ-45 Ethernet ports to your Mac.

The Sonnet Presto Gigabit Ethernet card adds a super-fast 1000Mb/s capable ethernet port to your PCI-Express based Mac workstation. The card will automatically negotiate the protocol, so it will work fine on a 10/100 or 10BaseT network.

NB: This card requires OSX 10.4.11 or later.
