The Akasa Integral P2NES is an enclosure which can accept 2.5" SATA hard drives, which can be accessed through either USB 2.0 or eSATA.

This is a bus-powered device meaning that it takes power from the USB connection (even when using eSATA the drive takes power through USB), therefore it is only suitable for computers with built in USB 2.0 ports. Computers with USB 2.0 added with an expansion card will not provide enough electrical power to run the device.

Please note that this enclosure can only be used to boot a Mac with an Intel processor - PowerPC based Macs (G3s, G4s and G5s) will not boot from USB. No Macs are bootable via eSATA.
