Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB 10,000RPM 3.5" SATA II WD3000HLFS

The Western Digital Velociraptor range of hard drives are 3.5" form factor drives but built around 2.5" platters and spinning at 10,000RPM and designed above all for performance.

This is the "backplane ready" version of the drive, and is compatible with any Mac that can take a normal 3.5" SATA drive.

If you don't want to fit this drive yourself, we can fit it for you. Simply add the relevant fitting service to your cart. We also offer an optional drive cloning service, where if we are installing a drive for you we can duplicate the contents of your old drive onto the new one. If you prefer to fit the drive yourself, please be aware you may need some tools. Most desktop Macs use Phillips or flathead screws to secure the case. Please see our standard screwdriver set. If you are fitting this drive as an additional hard drive in a G4 PowerMac you may also be interested in some hard drive screws.

This drive, model WD3000HLFS, is a 300GB 10,000RPM 16MB SATA II drive, in the "backplane ready" configuration.
