This DDR3 PC8500 ECC DIMM memory with thermal sensors, is designed by Kingston specifically for the 4 core and 8 core Mac Pros released from March 2009. This memory is suitable for all 4 core (single quad core CPU) and 8 core (2 x quad core CPU) Mac Pros with either the Nehalem or Westmere processor types.

The 4 core models have 4 memory sockets, each of which can take up to a 4GB module for a maximum of 16GB.

The 8 core models have 8 memory sockets, each of which can take up to a 4GB module for a maximum of 32GB.

This is a kit of 4 x 4GB (16GB in total) modules of DDR3 1066MHZ PC8500 ECC for the Mac Pro 2009/2010 4 core or 8 core.
