This is the 1TB Seagate Barracuda SATA 600 drive, running at 7200RPM with a 32MB buffer.

If you don't want to fit this device yourself, we can fit it for you. Simply add the relevant fitting service to your cart. We also offer an optional drive cloning service, where if we are installing a drive for you we can duplicate the contents of your old drive onto the new one. If you prefer to fit the drive yourself, please be aware you may need some tools. Most desktop Macs use Phillips or flathead screws to secure the case. Please see our standard screwdriver set. If you are fitting this drive as an additional hard drive in a G4 PowerMac you may also be interested in some hard drive screws.

Note: All our drives are supplied unformated. To use this drive with your Mac you will first need to format it with the utility provided as part of your operating system. For more information, please see our Mac Drive Setup Guide.

iMac (Intel): If fitting this drive yourself into models from the Late 2009 iMac onwards (all models with 4 RAM sockets), a copy of HDDFan Control should be purchased from the developer to allow correct operation of the hard drive temperature sensor and fans. Professional installation recommended. Not intended for Late 2012 revision.
iMac G5: User installation recommended for non-iSight models only.
