Condition: Brand New

This is the parts and labour cost to have us fit an SSD into the dedicated SSD bay that is present on some of the later Intel iMac computers. This includes the SSD itself, the mounting bracket to fit it into the bay, and the fitting service. You will receive your iMac back with a blank, formatted SSD in the bay. Since you may want to use the SSD as your boot drive we can, as long as you have less data on your existing hard drive than the capacity of the new SSD, clone the boot drive onto the SSD for an additional fee - add this service to your cart. Or you can do this yourself by following our guide here.

The SSD we will install with this service is the 250GB OWC Mercury Electra 3G, which is a SATA 300 SSD, part code: OWCS3D7E3G250.

Unless you are using our on-site installation service, you will need to send your Mac into us for us to carry out the work. Please see our installation service page for more details. You can also have us collect your Mac from you, please add our Collection Service to your shopping cart.

For most installation work we are able to offer a same day service at additional cost, see here for details.

Please ensure that all data is backed up before dispatching your machine to us.

If your Mac is still within its warranty period, please be aware that Mac Upgrades engineers are not certified to work on warrantied Macs. Depending on the nature of the installation Apple may consider your warranty to be invalidated - you should consult them or contact us if you are unsure.

Warranty: 3 years Return To Base
