OWC Mercury 1TB Electra 3G 2.5in SATA 300 SSD
Condition: Brand New
The OWC Mercury Electra 3G from Other World Computing is a 2.5in SATA 300 7mm height Solid State Disk, aimed at consumers with older Macintosh computers which have SATA 150 or SATA 300 drive controllers - it is fully compatible with more modern machines with faster SATA controllers, although on them a SATA 600 device will be faster. Benchmarks, and a video showing the improvement in boot time over a standard hard drive, can be found here.
This drive is suitable for any Apple computer which uses a 2.5in SATA hard drive. The original drive can be replaced with the SSD, giving greatly improved performance and reliability.
This is the 1TB version of the Mercury Electra 3G, part code: OWCS3D7E3GT1.0.
