Has your MacBook Pro got a tip of a headphone jack stuck in the socket? Or is the socket just no longer working?

Does your machine think that headphones are inserted when they are not? Can you no longer fit the plug in the socket?

On MacBook Pro Unibody machines, and on MacBook Pro Retinas up to and including the 2015, the headphone jack is soldered directly to the logic board. This service covers de-soldering the old port and soldering on a replacement port. Provided there are no other issues with the machine, this will restore normal operation.

We can work on later MacBook Pros as well, and in many cases it is cheaper. Later Intel MacBook Pros have the headphone port on a separate daughter board rather than the main logic board, making them much easier to replace (no soldering required). Please contact us for a quote.

This is a repair service that is performed on our premises. Once booked you will need to either bring or send your machine into us, or you can have us send our courier to collect it - see here. Once complete you can collect the machine from us, or we can ship it back to you for our standard courier delivery charge (applied during the checkout process).
