Mac Pro 2019

The Mac Pro 2019 in many ways harks back to the original Mac Pro towers made between 2006 - 2012: an imposing silver tower, with plenty of room inside for expansion cards. But it also marks a significant shift in role and who it is aimed at - previous Mac Pros have been the most powerful and expensive Mac on the market by a fair margin, and have been common machines among many creative professionals who needed the best performing Mac available. However the 2019 model is a machine designed to really fulfil the requirements of those with the heaviest workflows, and it comes with a price tag to match - twice as much as the model it replaced.

The line was updated in August 2021, with the graphics card options being refreshed.

RAM is upgradeable in these Macs. The main internal SSD is also replaceable, but is locked down in such a way that only an upgrade supplied by Apple can be fitted and third party upgrades are not available. However additional internal SSDs can be added via PCI-Express without their authorisation.

We sell a range of RAM, PCIe SSDs and other compatible products for these machines.
